First Extra Credit Book: Margaret Macmillan's "Paris 1919"

The first extra credit book is Margaret Macmillan's "Paris 1919: Six Months That Changed The World." Its a review of the history surrounding the negotiations of the Treaty of Versailles, that ended World War I but also carved up huge chunks of the world, and (argues Macmillan) created the seeds that led to the violence in most of the 20th Century.

This is optional: if you are interested, get a copy of the book and have it read in about four weeks (sometime past the middle of February). We'll get together outside of class to discuss it.
