Readings for PS 103

There are several readings, over the course of the semester, that are not in any of the books. All of those readings are available through the WVU Libraries website (you'll need to search for them). Some of the readings, however, I have moved over to the Political Science server, and have listed links to them here.

Singer, J. David. 1961. "The Level of Analysis Problem in International Relations" World Politics, Vol. 14, No. 1.

Walt, Stephen. 1998. "International Relations: One World, Many Theories" Foreign Policy, Spring 1998.

Huntington, Samuel. 1993. "The Clash of Civilizations" Foreign Affairs, 1993.

Walt, Stephen. 1997. "Building Up New Bogeymen" Foreign Policy, 1997.

Friedman, Thomas. 2000. Chapter 1 of "The Lexus and the Olive Tree" New York, Anchor Books.

Berger, Peter. 1997. "Four Faces of Global Culture." The National Interest, 1997.

Rothkopf, David. 1997. "In Praise of Cultural Imperialism" Foreign Policy, Summer 1997.

If any of these links are broken, let me know. However, all of these articles are online via the WVU libraries (as I noted), so you should be able to find them elsewhere (if the links don't work).

PS 103, Global Political Issues, Fall 2007

Yes, you have found the right place.

This is the blog associated with West Virginia University's Political Science 103 class, taught by Dr. David Hauser. The posts below this related to previous versions of the class. New posts will appear above this.

Hope this helps.
