November/December Extra Credit Book

By popular request, the last extra credit book is "The World is Flat: A Brief History of the 21st Century" by Thomas Friedman (the New York Times columnist on world politics). Get the book over Thanksgiving, and we'll get together in early December to talk about it.

Sorry I wasn't there on Thursday: I was at a job interview in Wisconsin that came up suddenly. Hopefully you all go the update: this test will be this coming Tuesday (November 14). You will not be responsible for the chapter on Chinese economic issues (which we didn't get to).
